I Could Do Sappy

But what would be the fun in that? Happy Father's Day to my babies' daddy. I hope you have a great day, even though we're hanging with my family and then driving for eight hours. Love you.

  1. That actor is good! He feigns boredom like a real pro.

    Happy Father's Day, Mathman!

Hurry up, Lisa. I put myself in a box and was over-nighted there. Have your dolly ready, so your, Mathman's, and my Ménage à trois can come in time for the gift-giving!

  11. I love those pictures. It's so weird to see genes replicate themselves, isn't it?

Your comment about the "content" of your day cracked me up. Lucky, lucky Mathman! My babies' father got to play computers all day -- and smoke a cigar inside the house.

  13. My son thinks these holidays are nothing more than a conspiracy from the Greeting card & consumer industries.
But I tried explaining to him, with parenting you put everything you've got into raising your kids.

    Heart • Soul • Blood • Sweat & Tears.

Parenting is not for the weak! It takes a lot of fortitude to go the distance over all those changes over all those years.

Now I'll shift into the jewish mother persona & ask in a guilt ridden way:

Is it too much that you should take one day a year to give thanks to your parents?
Do you KNOW how much they do for you?

Time to go make some nice chicken soup.....

Actually, I;m thinking sheesh kabobs today.

But seriously.... my husband used to get up in the middle of the night. Change the baby's diaper & whatever else needed changing & hand me a fresh clean baby to nurse.
I will never forget his kind, and caring parenting.
He was there for it all. Still is.

Cheers to all Father's who are there for the kids, and know when they had children.... they were stuck for life!

Just kidding (or am I??).... they fell in love with those kids, and are in it for better or worse.

    Hooray for Happenin' Dads!!!!!
