A million workers working for nothing

Source

Dear Midwestern States,

I am with you. We can be serfs or citizens. We can't be both.

Peace, love and power to The People,

Lisa

  1. I'm just sick to my stomach over this. They won't rest until we're all begging for crumbs from their table.

  2. Serf's up! 'cause it's mostly too late to do anything about the extreme disproportionate of wealth in this country. Thankfully, I don't think slavery will return even if we are now without a legit democracy.

  3. They've over played their hand this time. Hopefully, we can unite long enough to kick these bastards to the curb.

  4. There is much truth found in the attached video. But I can't help but notice the political agenda both of these women subscribe to. It is the "Right" that is doing this. Republicans are to blame. Etc.

But if these two were TRULY about getting to the absolute truth, they would be forced to acknowledge that the "left" and Democrats are equally to blame.

Both parties are corporate, wall-street lapdogs and are both complicit in creating the very bail-outs to the "elite" and the screwing of the little guy. They both get elected via these same criminals.

So, as much as I appreciate the truth that was displayed, I am ready for them to place equal blame on the other side of this false divide.

America needs to stand up to the Fascists and we can't until we acknowledge that both parties are the same when it comes to corporate control and acquiescence.

Rachel's contract does not allow this, as Glenn Greenwald once pointed out. Hence why I cannot regularly watch her any more.

Her paycheck depends on continuing this false divide.

Our failure as a society hinges on this false paradigm.

I believe we need to shirk that bullshit right NOW.

  5. Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio, etc. are working on becoming the New South, but even Georgia, Alabama, et al haven't gone so far as to nullify local governments like this Michigan bill allows. It is torches and pitchforks time!!

that's kinda like saying Johnny hit me with a pea shooter.... so I grabbed a shotgun and blew him apart. It's Johnny's fault, too.

  9. no, okjimm

it is nothing whatsoever like that.

Acknowledging the entire problem is the only way to a real solution.

At this point, I find anyone that defends the false paradigm as ignorant or idiotic and a part of the problem.

  10. Buelahman - right there is pretty much why I stopped writing about politics. I let you have your say and I agree with you in part. But there are degrees of bad. The Democrats are not as bad as the Republicans. I don't want a raft of info to prove me wrong. That's what you've got your own blog for. And no more name calling.

  11. Oh, and Okjimm - While I appreciate more than is appropriate the idea of someone named Johnny being on the wrong end of the shotgun, maybe you could use a different name next time. I mean, come on, man!

  12. Lisa,

Did I call someone a name?

I meant that as a generalization.

    But I get your point.

This will be my last comment on your blog.

    Take care.

  14. This sucks the chrome off of trailer hitches. Corporations and their Politician-Whores aren't just eating our lunches, they're stealing our lunches and then selling them back to us at unaffordable prices.

And while it's true that both major parties are doing it, the Dems are fighting for, oh, say, unemployment benefits, while the Reps are fighting for tax breaks for the Filthy Fucking Rich; Dems are fighting for Planned Parenthood and marriage equality (albeit feebly,) while Reps are fighting to further codify sexual bigotry and defund women's right to self-determination.

There IS a difference, despite the appalling corporate influence over Democrats!
