Ectoplasm

Not dead. Just busy _______________.

Go ahead, fill in the blank, tell us about yourself, vent, offer a recipe, tell us what you're going to be for Halloween, what's your twitter handle? Am I following you on Pinterest? Are we Facebook friends? Details people. I want details.

  1. Just busy trying to write a kickass query and whittling my synopsis into three paragraphs while trying to keep my family breathing (the first kid is recovering, but the second kid started snotting something awful yesterday) and keep my job going, because losing our health insurance isn't a good life choice right now.

We're friends on everything except Pinterest and GoodReads, I think, right?

  4. I'm editing the soon to be published book you so kindly encouraged me to continue writing when it was only a few chapters long. We're having a big launch party up here on June 15. Y'all should come up. We can have a blogger meetup for people in driving distance. I haven't written my acknowledgements section, but you are going to be mentioned!

I think we're connected on Pinterest already, but my hardly used Twitter handle is somemyrrh. Also, writinglikeamother.com, where I'll jump in more once these due this month edits are in.

One week from today, I will stand on stage at the local piano company's Fourth Friday concert and sing three big arias. So there's that, too, and also full time mom.

Sorry no recipes, but some of the ones I pinned recently are good.

Okay, and that photo is creepy. Why would ghosts only have arms? I don't know if it's sexy or scary. Context dependent, I suppose.

  5. "Come on, take the pen!"
    "I can't take it."
    "Do me a personal favor!"
    "No, I'm not..."
    "Take the pen!"
    "I cannot take it!"
    "Take the pen!"
    "Are you sure?"
    "Positive! Take the pen!"
    "Okay. Thank you very much."
    - Jack and Jerry, in "The Pen"

"If he likes it so much, he never should have offered it."
    "He didn't think you'd accept."
    "Well, he was wrong."
    - Jerry and Helen, in "The Pen"

  6. I'm going to dress in my Home Clothes and go to work for Halloween. That should shut the young, trendy co-workers up for a while. Somehow, I don't think they'll much like "Middle Aged, Tired Mum Who Really Likes Skulls".

We're friends on everything that I can think of, although I don't use Pinterest much. It confuses me a little bit. You can have ANY recipe that I note on FB free for the asking. Most of them were from my Mum or my Mum in Law. I hope that you can translate Yankee.

  7. Halloween? Is it time for that already?

I'm honored that you follow my Twitter handle (@PoppaBottch.) Pinterest? Haven't gotten into it yet. Facebook? Got pissed off and deactivated the account the other day.

I have started to get going on Google+. What am I busy at? Trying to keep my wife and her sister from killing each other. Oh, and suffering through a horrible Auburn football season. War Eagle anyway.
