May Have Bitten Off More Than She Can Chew

I think it may be time to go back to taking speed. Three jobs, three kids, five cats, one house, two books in progress (writing), one book nearly done (reading), blah, blah, blah.....all work and no play makes Lisa a dull ___________.

That is all.

  3. It seems that elissa and Al have your back in the illicit numbing department.

I usually yell at everyone in sight and kick the cat.

  6. I feel that way soemtimes. I keep saying I'll sleep when I die. But really, it sounds like you need "me time". So take some. All that stuff will be there when you come back to it.

    Enjoy your weekend.

  8. I hear you too...we all have so much to do these days. I wonder whether life was always this hectic or whether it's worse now?

Hugs - and wine to go with the whine! ;-)

  10. As classic type A personalities you and I both sometimes have to learn to say no to that voice in our head that tells us we can do it all.

10 years ago I never said no, now I tell my self everyday that no I cannot take on one more project. My plate is full.

  13. I don't believe for one second that you could never be dull.

  14. Thanks, gang! I should say that I'm glad I'm not alone, but then that means I'm glad you all are feeling meh and over-programmed, too. And I wouldn't want that for any of you, except for that Brave Little Toaster Anonymous. For you, sweet one, I wish you all the misery you seem to enjoy spreading around.

  15. I'm chasing my tail just writing a fecking query letter. I can only imagine. I had to sedate Marley to clip her fecking toenails after three days of trying. One small wiry dog can defeat me. One damn letter and I'm toast.

  16. 1) Send the kids to Hogwarts.
    2) Send three cats with the kids.
    3) Change the books to novellas.
    4) Skip a chapter.
    5) Skip the house cleaning.

    Did I fix it all?

  30. Being a woman who can have it all means working yourself up into a frenzy? I seriously don't think that was what women's liberation was all about. My step-mother-in-law, (yes, try that one on for size) was a mean German bitch. Everyone helped her out or else! And she was a clean freak too so lots of housework from everyone...
