The Long Month

This is one of those posts that I really hate to write. We've hit the financial wall (again). I know. Let's just not look at each other, okay, because I cannot make eye contact when I'm doing this. The last couple of days have been a carnival of anxieties and so I haven't written because it's hard to bring the funny when, well, you know. The good news is that in two days, I've run twenty miles. It's the only way to control the hamsters in the brain, wear them the hell out.

If you're thinking about a donation, this would be a good time.

Thank you, in advance, whether you give or not. Thank you for being here.

You know how I love you.

Lisa

  1. It just sucks. I am sorry. I understand. All of which sounds tinny, lame and who knows what. Love you girl.

  2. Right there with you my good friend. My job was cut to a stipend only, so I've lost almost all my hours AND my benefits. AGAIN!

Why can't good folks like us catch a break? We're not asking for the world, just a way to live IN it.

  4. You know, if you were in Chicago you could be running off your troubles along the lakefront and call it networking...
    Small happies for today...
    1) You aren't growing a Forrest Gump beard with all of this running.

    3) Your mother didn't name you Porkchop

    6) The whitest teeth of anyone I've ever met.
    7) The newest Dr. Who comes on this very Saturday.
    8) That you haven't forgotten how to color.
    9) You remember your kids' names most of the time. Okay, well, some.
    10) Your husband doesn't want you to join him doing math problems for fun.

    Chin up, my friend. Love.

  5. I like Lyra's ideas. This sort of stuff sucks. I wish I lived closer; I'd totally bring you wine and chocolate. TOGETHER.

    Love you.

  7. I know it doesn't help much, but I'm in a very similar situation. Struggling and feeling anxious. It sucks. If you ever want to vent, I'm here.

  9. Wow! It is always a good time for a donation. I have to confess, it was not on my mind, but I am seriously thinking about it now. How do I collect?

  10. Sheesh, how about asking before I spend all of my laundered drug money? You're so rude.
